We deeply value and cultivate carefully the social climate here at Twill

Twill is first and foremost a community. We want to be your home away from home. Spend time here in the company of others who love handwork and all things fiber.

We will also...help to find a pattern that matches your skill level, assist with yarn and color selection, help you to learn to knit, crochet, felt. We are also here to help you get a project back on track if you've made a mistake or are unclear about a technique or a pattern.

The shop also needs your patronage to thrive. We ask that you prioritize using shop yarns in groups that are connected to Twill.

As you know, the expertise to repair mistakes or diagnose a problem with a project develops over many years. What may take just a few minutes often then saves the recipient hours of frustration, prevent you from having to pull out your work or start over. We charge a modest fee for this service. Any quick fix up to 15 minutes of individual help is a $10 fee. Anything beyond, we may ask that it be left with us, and generally will be a $25 fee. There are also times that we will not be able to fix a project.

The calendar changes frequently, so check back often.  You can also stay up to date by following us on Facebook or signing up for the newsletter. We'll drop surprises and special Friday night events there.

Our hope is that you find a home here at Twill.

Sandy

In the spring of 2012, Sandy began imagining her next career.  To create a space where community matters most.  Where people gather and share handwork, friendship, support, laughter and beauty.  Twill has met and surpassed that dream. Sandy’s love of all things fiber was taken quite far, not only a yarn and fabric store, but a sheep farm to boot.  After 7 years raising Icelandic sheep, she and Michael gifted their flock to a local educational farm where they are thriving. Sandy teaches knitting, orders lots of beautiful things and can be a bit bossy about colors.
